Cochran – Ladean S. Holland, age 81, died Saturday, December 28, 2019, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 11:00 A. M. at Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Ladean, born in Dublin, had lived most of her life in Chester and Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Mildred Pharris Scoggins and the wife of the late Herman Peacock and Ramon Holland. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Pat Scoggins and her granddaughter, Catherine Sherpy. She was a para-professional at North Dodge County Elementary School. Mrs. Ladean was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, the Senior Adult Sunday School Class and WMU. She absolutely adored her grandson Chandler.

Survivors are her children, Trisha (Todd) Sherpy of St. Simons and Kelly (Deniece) Peacock of Cochran; her grandchildren, Chandler Peacock of Cochran and Caroline Sherpy of Columbia, SC; her brother, Dennard (Wanda) Scoggins of Metter; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 106 Ninth St. Terrace, Cochran and will greet friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home.
