Larry Wayne Carlton, age 66, died Friday, September 14, 2018 in Valentine, Nebraska, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private

Mr. Carlton, born in Tifton, had lived in Tifton before moving to Cochran 15 years ago. He was the son of the late S.T. and Hazel Louise Gay Carlton and was the husband of the late Nina Kirkpatrick Carlton. He was preceded in death by his sister Louise Carlton Barber. Larry was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and loved to travel. He was a US Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion Motorcycle Riders and attended Roddy Baptist Church.

Survivors are his children, Tracey (Jack Tripp) Graham of Midway, Dorothy (Gene) Roberts and Patti (Mark) Dean of Tifton; grandchildren, Kalon (Sunny) Graham of Valdosta, Kenzie Graham of Roddy, John Morgan (Kelci) Dean, Kate-Ellen Dean and Hayden Roberts of Tifton; great grandchildren, Kylee, Ayden, Alyson, Daniel and Olivia; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 416 GA Highway 126 E and will greet friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
