Dudley – Larry A. Jones, age 76, died Monday, December 23, 2019, in the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 26, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. in Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Rebie. Burial will be private in the church cemetery.

Mr. Jones, born in Macon, had lived in Dudley most of his life. He was the son of the late Lewis Anthony and Robbie Wall Jones and was the husband of the late Sandra Defore Jones. He was retired from Blue Bird Bus Company in Fort Valley and a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a recipient of the Purple Heart. Larry was a member of Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors are his daughter, Saundra (Jason) Sawyer of Dudley; his grandchildren, Kailey, Ryan and Chassity Sawyer of Dudley; his sisters, Carol Rowland of Dudley, Elaine Barrs of Cochran, Virginia (Mickey) Percival of Albany and Alice (Gerald) Taylor of Helena; his brother, Tony (Becky) Jones of Montrose; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 101 Taylor Drive, Cochran and will greet friends after the service Thursday at Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church.
