Cochran – Larry J. Peacock, age 68, died Monday, August 12, 2019, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 15, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. in Bethany Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.

Larry had lived most of his life in Cochran and was the son of the late Lois Tidwell Peacock. He was a retired US Navy Veteran, having served 20 years, and was assigned to the Special Boat Unit 22. He was a 1969 graduate of Cochran High School, a former employee of Uchee Trail Golf Club and Lumber Transport. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and the Challenge Sunday School Class.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce S. Peacock of Cochran; his children, Layne (Jaynia) Peacock of MS, Melissa Peacock of FL and Michelle Sanderlin of VA; step-children, Angie (Troy) Boston and April (Kevin) Strickland of Cochran; his father, Junior Peacock of Cochran; his brother, Jeff (Janet) Peacock of Cochran; his sisters, Judy (Dale) Itson of Cochran and Gale (Lawton) Kemp of Dudley; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 214 Duskin Drive and will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service Thursday at Bethany Baptist Church.
