Danville – Lester Pittman, age 82, died Saturday, May 16, 2020, in Navicent Health in Macon. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. in Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bleckley County.

Mr. Pittman, born in Oaks, Kentucky, moved to Bleckley County in 2001 and later moved to Twiggs County. He was the son of the late Bradley and Lida Pittman and was preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Bryant Pittman. He was a retired miner from Asarco and a US Air Force Veteran. Mr. Lester was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Bleckley County and attended Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Twiggs County.

Survivors are his wife, Tennie Howell Pittman of Danville; his son, Bryan (Nicole) Pittman of Knoxville, TN; step-daughter, Kay Howell of Danville; his grandchildren, Andrew Pittman and Alex Pittman of Knoxville, TN,; step-grandchildren, Greg Howell, Josh Howell and Erin Tomey of Macon; his brothers, Henry Pittman of Dearborn, MI and Jay (Linda) Pittman of Powell, TN; his sisters, Sara Ellen Chadwick of Columbus, OH and Jerline Parks of Dunkirk, MD; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 1466 Cool Springs Church Rd, Danville.
