Cochran – Lilla Lee Lyles Purser, age 100, passed away Monday, February 16, 2026, in Bryant Health and Rehab Center in Cochran. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church in Cochran. The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at the church. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Lilla Lee was born and had lived all of her life in Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Joe D., Sr. and Emma Higgenbotham Lyles and the wife of the late Billy F. Purser. She was preceded in death by her sister, Louise Lyles Smith and her brothers, Joe Lyles, Jr. and Louis Lyles.

Mrs. Lilla Lee was a 1941 graduate of Cochran High School and also a graduate of Middle Georgia College.  She loved sports and played basketball and tennis at both the high school and college levels.  She also loved to play bridge and was a member of local clubs for many years.

Mrs. Lilla Lee was a member of Cochran First Baptist Church, where she previously taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was an active member of WMU.

Survivors are her son, Bill L. (Alexis) Purser of Charlotte, NC; her daughter, Ellen (Danny) Mathis of Cochran; her grandchildren, Amy (John) Shaheen of Indian Land, SC, Pam (Matt) Webb of Philadelphia, PA, Alan (Jenna) Purser of Atlanta, GA, Dana (Andy) Perkins of Buford, GA, Cal (Stephanie) Mathis of Cochran and Bo (Annsley) Mathis of Tifton, GA; her great grandchildren, Nick, Patrick, Matthew, and Elizabeth Shaheen, Archer and Nixon Webb, Aden and Elin Purser, Emma Kate and Sawyer Perkins, Asa and Quinn Mathis, Hayes and Blake Mathis; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her sitters/care givers, the staffs of At Home Senior Living and Bryant Health and Rehab Center, and Georgia Hospice for the excellent care you provided.
