Cochran – Linda S. NeSmith, age 78, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. The family will greet friends after the service Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Linda, born in Jacksonville, FL, had lived in Charleston, SC before moving to Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Idus W. and Sybil Hamrick NeSmith and was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey Lynn Benson. Linda was retired from Charleston County Public Schools and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors are her sister, Karen (Frank) D'Angelo of Perry; niece, Stefanie Gordon, great nieces, Macy (Dru) Thames and Bethany Gordon; nephew, Steven (Heather) Manry, Jr.; great nephew, Paxton Manry; aunts and cousins.
