Cochran – Linda Thigpen, age 72, died Saturday, March 23, 2019, in Southland Healthcare and Rehab Center in Dublin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. in Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery in Wheeler County.

Linda was born in Wheeler County and lived there most of her life. She also split time living in McRae and Cochran with her brothers. She was the daughter of the late James Charlie and Lizzie Runnell Walden Thigpen. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Thigpen and Roy Thigpen. Linda enjoyed crocheting, putting together jigsaw puzzles and doing letter searches. She also enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show, 60 minutes and The Price Is Right. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cochran. Linda loved her family especially her nieces and nephews and their children.

Survivors are her brothers, Melvin (Anna Lou) Thigpen of McRae and Michael (Frances)Thigpen of Cochran; nieces and nephews, Gloria (Mickey) Webb, Kristi Thigpen, Stacy (Andy) Forrest, Chris (Dixie Dawn) Thigpen, Kelli (Chris) Burke, Matt Thigpen, Kim (Ken) Evans, Bruce (Kari) Thigpen and Jim (April) Hill; uncles Bill Walden of Dublin and Gene (Pauline) Walden of Burkburnett, TX; sister-in-law Judy Thigpen and her children Misty, Becky, Sandy, Charlie and Sherry; several great nieces and nephews.

The Family is at 783 Hwy 26E and will greet friends an hour before the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
