Cochran – Lizzie Dixon Giddens, age 81, died Saturday, September 22, 2018, in Serenity Hospice in Dublin. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Giddens-Harrell Cemetery in Dodge County.

Mrs. Giddens, born in Laurens County, had lived most of her life in the Cochran area. She was the daughter of the late Lamb and Winnie Cooper Dixon and the wife of the late Quiencey Benjamin "Man" Giddens. She was preceded in death by her son, David E. Giddens and her granddaughter, Amy Johnson. She was a member of Rowland Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Chester.

Survivors are her granddaughter, Robin (Lamar) Harrington of Cochran; step-daughter, Amanda (Bobby Joe) Rickerson of Cochran; grandson, Alexzander Rickerson of Cochran; five great grandchildren, Stevie, Kameron, Luanne, Tori and Cooper; sister, Susie (N.A.) Attaway of Rentz; brothers, James (Etta Mae) Dixon and Bennie (Frances) Dixon of Rentz; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 201 Jones Road and will greet friends after the service Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
