Cochran – Lorene Bell Leverett, age 66, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023, in Atrium Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Lorene, born in Macon, had lived most of her life in Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Henry Clyde and Inez Garnto Bell and was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Long, her grandson, Mitchell Miller and her sister Janice Bell Jackson. She was a phlebotomist and a US Army veteran.

Survivors are her husband, Mike Leverett of Cochran; her children, Eric (Lisa) Miller, Steve (Michelle) Miller and David (Brae) Leverett all of Cochran; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her sister, Ellen (Oscar) Long of Cochran; her brother, Raymond Bell of Warner Robins; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 595 Elsharath Church Road, Cochran (Twiggs County) and will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
