Cochran – Louie B. Lord, age 77, died Saturday, May 25, 2019, at his residence. Memorial services will be private in Texas at a later date.

Mr. Lord, born in Cochran, was the son of the late Ashley Clifton, Sr. and Lucy Belle Lassiter Lord and was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Lord Shepherd. He was a 1960 graduate of Cochran High School and a graduate of Galveston Community College. He was retired from Rohm-N-Haas Chemical Company in Deer Park, Texas. Louie was a US Navy Veteran. It is fitting on Memorial Day weekend that he went to be with the Lord as the first veteran in the family and inspired me to join the service. You will be missed Ole Man. Survivors are his wife, Kathy Lord of Cochran; his sons, Brian Lord and Bret (Jenny) Lord of Texas; seven grandchildren; his brother, Clifton (Kay) Lord of Warner Robins; his sister, Lucy (Sam) Overby of Chester; several nieces and nephews.
