Cochran – Luther Ronnie Floyd, age 81, died Tuesday, November 30, 2021, surrounded by his family, in Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Bowers Cemetery.

Mr. Ronnie, born in Dodge County, had lived most of his life in Bleckley County. He was the son of the late Luther B. and Lillie Mae Lucas Floyd. Mr. Ronnie was preceded in death by his sisters, Harriett Mizell and Jackie Messer, his brother, Larry B. Floyd, his brothers and sisters-in-law, Rink Kirkpatrick, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Leon Swain and Nina and Wayne Carlton. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a US Army veteran. He enjoyed remodeling his Model A Ford. Mr. Ronnie was a member of Empire Baptist Church and attended Limestone Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Winifred K. Floyd of Cochran; his children, Keith (Tammie) Floyd and Regina (Steve) Smith all of Cochran; his grandchildren, Katie (Henry) Gass of Atlanta, Allen-Mikel (Samantha) Floyd of Cochran, Madison (John) Carr of Savannah and Brittney-Kay Floyd of Cochran; great grandchildren, Brian-Mikel Floyd, Chevy Floyd and Baylee-Kay Floyd all of Cochran and 3 more on the way; his sister, Sharon (Tony) Rowland of Lyons; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Jackie Kirkpatrick, Diane and Phillip Dykes, Larry Kirkpatrick, Evelyn Kirkpatrick all of Cochran, Linda Dominy, Gail Bryan and Rachel (Karl) Hilliard all of Eastman and JoAnne Swain of Hawkinsville; several nieces and nephews and his loyal lap dog Scotty.

The family is at 416 GA Highway 126, Cochran and will greet friends after the service Friday at Mathis Funeral Home.
