Jacksonville, NC – Mae Hamm Bennett, age 85, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Liberty Commons of Onslow in Jacksonville, NC. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Pulaski County.

Mrs. Bennett, born in Danville, was the daughter of the late Alver and Hazel Hall Hamm. She was the wife of the late Albert Chester Bennett and was preceded in death by her brothers, Royce Hamm and Gene Hamm and her sister, Virginia Hogg. She worked as a registered nurse for 35 years and was a member of Pinehurst Baptist Church.

Survivors are her daughters, Melanie (Marvin, Jr.) Sanders of Hubert, NC and Stacy Bennett of Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Marvin W. (Teal) Sanders, III and Kimberly (Nate) Conway, and 4 great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
