Cochran – Margaret Barker, age 78, died Monday, January 18, 2021, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 22, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be private in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Barker, born in Ft. Benning, GA, had lived most of her life in Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Obie Leon "O.L." and Della Mae Register and was preceded in death by her son Larry Eugene Hancock. She was a homemaker and seamstress. Mrs. Margaret was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and a member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class.

Survivors are her husband, Tom Barker of Cochran; her children, Lynn (Becky) Hancock, Lamar (Shirley) Hancock and Kathy Williams of Cochran and Barbara "Sissy" (Eddie) Gazaway of Danielsville; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Serenity Hospice for their loving care and support for Mrs. Margaret.

The family will greet friends after the service Friday at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
