Cochran – Margie Pope Hornsby, age 84, died Friday, January 14, 2022, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 21, 2022, at 1:30 P.M. in House of Grace. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Margie was born in Macon, Georgia and raised in Jeffersonville, Georgia. She was a graduate of Andrew College. She made her home in Cochran and taught music to many students. Margie was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth, her parents Jack and Grace Pope, her brother, Henry Pope, Jr. and her brother-in-law, Tim Hornsby.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Marion; her daughter, Shelby (Randall) Goetz; her grandchildren, Jeff (Mandi) Kirkland, Kyle (Halanah) Kirkland and Amanda Goetz; her great grandchildren, Luke Kirkland, Emmett Kirkland and Colby Kirkland; her loving sisters, Marlene (Richard) Rehn, Jackie Griner and Helen Pope; she was also cherished by her sisters-in-law, Estelle (Larry) Smith, Sarah Dober Harrison, Edith (Gordon) Faulk and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Her smile and kindness will live on with us forever.

The family is at 158 Robert Drive, Cochran and will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until time for the service Friday at House of Grace.
