Dublin – Marie Braswell Lancaster, age 87, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in Southland Healthcare in Dublin. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in Limestone Memorial Gardens in Bleckley County.

Mrs. Marie, born in Cochran, had lived most of her life in Byron. She was the daughter of the late Obie Samuel and Willie Mae Lucas Braswell and preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Lancaster and her brothers, Arlin "Buddy" Braswell and Arlis Ray "Pete" Braswell. Mrs. Marie was a beautician and member of Limestone Baptist Church.

Survivors are her sons, Tommy Lee (Melissa) Lancaster of South Carolina and Dale Lancaster of Warner Robins; eight grandchildren; her brother, Gene (Doris) Braswell of Dexter; several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you from the family to Southland Health and Rehab and to Georgia Hospice for the loving care given to Marie.

The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
