Marietta
Bennett
Oct 4, 1945 — Mar 28, 2025
Marietta Bennett, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon, Georgia.
Born on October 4, 1945, in Glenns Falls, New York, Marietta was the daughter of Albert Henry Jennings and Lillian Mae (Jaquish). Throughout her life, she remained connected to her roots while embracing the joys and challenges of raising a large and loving family.
Marietta was the devoted mother of five children: Frank, Fred, Scott, Melisa, and Karen. Her love extended beyond her immediate family—she was a proud grandmother to twenty grandchildren and a great-grandmother to thirty-one. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Patricia LeClaire. Marietta was preceded in death by her husband Gary Krogg; the father of her children, Frank Bennett; her parents; and siblings Charloutte Houle, Phyllis Charbonneau, and Edward Charbonneau.
She found great joy in life's simple pleasures. Whether camping under the stars or fishing with loved ones, Marietta cherished time spent outdoors. Around the table, she delighted in sharing meals and laughter over games of Farkle—moments that created lasting memories for her family.
In recent years, Marietta experienced a profound spiritual renewal when she was baptized at Bethany Baptist Church in Cochran. This act brought her deep comfort and peace as she embraced her faith.
A memorial service to honor Marietta's life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in Cochran.
Marietta's legacy is one of warmth, resilience, and unconditional love. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
