Martha Ann Bryant, age 88, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at her residence in Cochran.

Mrs. Martha lived most of her life in Cochran. She was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1955, and devoted her life to her home and family as a homemaker. In addition to caring for her own household, she served as a caregiver for her mother and sister and volunteered at Bryant Nursing Home.

Mrs. Martha was the daughter of the late Ellis T. Smith and Minnie Churchwell Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Elder Lawson Thomas Bryant, and by her son, Ricky “Tank” Bryant.

Throughout her life, Mrs. Martha was closely associated with the daily work of caring for others. She cared for her husband and her two sons and was known for the generosity of her heart. Her responsibilities within her family and community reflected a life centered on service, responsibility, and steadfast care.

She is survived by her son, Randy Bryant of Cochran.

Martha Ann Bryant will be remembered for her dedication to her family, and for the many quiet acts of care that defined her years.
