Empire – Mrs. Martha Jane Perkins, age 86, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Regency Hospital in Macon. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. A visitation will take place at 1:00 P.M., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be held in Bowers Cemetery.

Born and raised in Wilcox County, Martha was the daughter of the late Joe and Willie Anderson Keen. A proud graduate of Wilcox County High School, Class of 1957, she remained deeply connected to her roots throughout her life. She was a devoted homemaker who dedicated herself to raising her three sons and caring for her family.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry "Bill" Perkins; and two sons, William Jeffrey Perkins and James David Daniels.

She was a longtime member of Empire Baptist Church and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She especially cherished the companionship of her beloved Chihuahua, Pooh, and her cat, Snowball.

She is survived by her son, Randall Perkins of Empire; grandchildren Michael, Derrick, Andrea Marie, and Sara Trish; daughter-in-law Carol Daniels; nephew Bob (Mary) Shed; great-nephew Joel Shed; great-niece Heather Shed; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
