Obituary

Mary Ann Daniels, a beautiful lady and vibrant spirit, departed this world on February 28, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 78. Born on August 8,1947, and raised in the small town of Cochran, Georgia, Mary Ann's life was characterized by an unwavering joy that she spread amongst family and friends.

Mary Ann's career journey was a tapestry of dedication and warmth. She spent years as an Administrative Assistant at Middle Georgia College and also graced the halls of the State Bank of Cochran as a bank teller, where her engaging personality touched others with kindness.

Additionally, Mary Ann enjoyed socializing with a close-knit circle of friends throughout her life. At The Willows of Springhurst, she found a community that loved her for her infectious laughter and uplifting spirit. Her days were often filled with spirited games of Bingo, church services, and engagement in sing-alongs, all enriched further by her treasured friendship with Ms. Pat. The nurses and staff cherished her presence, fondly recalling how she brightened their days with her love of Elvis, constant giggles, and gifts of candy.

Creativity coursed through Mary Ann's veins who expressed her love through personalized creations. Those who received her handmade gifts felt the warmth of her heart woven into every stitch. Her daughter, Denise, fondly remembers the dresses Mary Ann sewed, tailored, and crafted for her as she participated in various pageants, a testament to her mother's love, pride, and artistry.

Mary Ann's proudest accomplishments were her daughter and two granddaughters, Claire and Chloe Yates, as well as her beloved son-in-law, Scott. To them, she was not just a mother and grandmother but a beacon of unconditional love and support. Her family will carry forward the legacy of joy and laughter that she instilled in them.

Though she leaves behind a profound void, her spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. The echoes of her laughter, the warmth of her smile, and the beauty of her creative handiwork will remain treasured memories that continue to inspire.

Mary Ann's journey back to the arms of her late parents, Jake and Annie Mae Young, along with her siblings Mosa Mae Whittington, Ettie Purser, Shirley Noles, Jack and James Young, marks the closing of a chapter, but also a heartfelt reunion beyond this earthly realm.
