Cochran – Mary Jane Pace, age 77, died Sunday, August 26, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Pace, born in Perry, had lived in Byron before moving to Cochran 24 years ago. She was the daughter of the late James L. and Marion Louise Leaptrot Pennington. She was a cosmetologist. Mrs. Mary Jane loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and traveling.

Survivors are her husband, Jerry K. Pace of Cochran; her children, Phillip (Rita) Smith, Paul (Renee Rowe) Smith and Lisa Smith (Walter) Duckworth of Byron and Tammy (Tommy) Happel of Kathleen; her sister, Clyde (Danny White) Sinyard of Haynesville; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 372 Lucas Road and will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
