Mary "June" Thompson, was granted her angel wings on December 26, 2024, in Odessa, TX

June was born in Southern Georgia to James C. and Alma Tanner on March 8, 1934. She went to school in Boston, GA and received a degree from Middle Georgia State College. June was a beautiful soul, devoted wife and mother. She worked as a secretary for LAUSD and retired in 1996. June enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and most importantly being with family and friends.

June is preceded in death by her brothers Sonny Tanner and Merchel Tanner, first husband, Roy Josey and her daughter, Patsy Josey (PJ), and her second husband, Robert Thompson.

June is survived by her daughter, Lisa Walsh, sons Randy Thompson, Fred Thompson, and Jim Josey. As well as 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11 AM for family members and friends at Evergreen Baptist Church, Cochran, GA where she will be laid to rest with her first husband Roy Josey and daughter PJ Josey. Pastor John Cadwell will officiate.
