Obituary

Michael Steven Maddox Sr. of Cochran, Georgia passed away Saturday October 5, 2024. Stevie, or Weasel, as he was known, was a wonderful, loving father that cared deeply for his family, grandchildren, nieces and nephew. He was such a kind and loving gentleman; one of those that would give you the shirt off his back kind of people. If you knew Stevie, you loved him.

Stevie grew up in Cochran, Georgia. He was the son of the late Billy Ray Maddox and Elizabeth Chapman. He spent his career at Lithonia Lighting, and it was from there he retired.

Stevie had one son, Michael Steven Maddox Jr., who he loved like no other. They share many memories together, most of which included fishing.

Left to cherish his memory are his son; Michael Maddox (Jeannia), Hawkinsville, his grandchildren; Breanna Maddox,  Addison Maddox, Thomas Maddox, Kye Rust, and Kaden Rust, his sisters; Tracy Jones and Sherry Thomas, Cochran, his nieces; Taylor Jones Bonilla (Carlos) and Tori Jones, his nephew; Trey Jones (Macy), his great nieces; Luna Bonilla and Malia Reign Jones, his great nephews; Jordan Montgomery, Champ Taylor, and Tate Jones, his aunt; Judy Chapman, Macon, his brother; Gary Maddox, Florida, his wife; Becky Maddox, and his stepdaughter; Danielle Kendall.

Stevie's wishes were to be cremated and no service. His family will have a private memorial at a later date. If you would like, you may give in his honor to your favorite charity or church in his memory.

And, in the famous words of Stevie, "That ain't no lie (ANL)!"
