Rincon – Michael James "Mike" Parish, age 69, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in the Effingham Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 15, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery in Dodge County.

Mike, born in Annapolis, MD, grew up in Chester and had lived in Rincon since 1992. He was the son of the late Ida Lou Carr Parish and Benjamin James Parish. Mike was a contractor and former president of the Georgia Home Builders Association. He was a 1972 graduate of Cochran High School and a graduate of Armstrong State College.

Survivors are his wife, Connie Giddens Parish of Rincon; his children, Brittni Parish of Ellabell, Kristen (Dustin) Ruarks of Rincon, Sean Parish of Cobbtown and Kyle Parish of Rincon; grandchildren, Brody Deney, Peyton Ruarks, Liam Lowe, Elijah Ruarks and Asher Green.

The family is at 164 Giddens Road, Cochran and will greet friends one hour before the service Monday at Mathis Funeral Home.
