Cochran – Michael Robert Sasser, age 47, died unexpectedly, Thursday, December 2, 2021, in Marietta, GA. Memorial services will be held Friday, December 10, 2021, at 6:00 P.M. in the Bleckley County High School Auditorium with military honors

Mike, born in Lafayette, Indiana, had lived in Cochran since 2009. He was a Senior Program Manager with SRC in Warner Robins., chairman of the Bleckley County Board of Education and had an MBA in Business Administration. Mike was a retired US Air Force MSgt., after 20 years of service and had served in the Georgia Air National Guard. He was an Enlisted Aircrew in the Air Force, had 17 deployments, was a former 1 Sgt. and was a member of the 116 Air Control Wing-Jstars. Mike was a member of Cochran First Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Angie Sasser of Cochran; his sons, Dominic Sasser and Desmond Sasser both of Cochran; his parents, Michael and Janice Sasser of Huntertown, IN; his sisters, Kathy (Jeff) Brink of Sandoval, IL, Jeanne Sasser of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Gloria (Cameron) Hickson of Ft. Wayne, IN; his brothers, John (Emily) Sasser of Ft. Wayne, In, Joe (Estee) Sasser of Ft. Wayne, IN and Josh Sasser of St. Louis, MO; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 215 Country Club Road, Cochran and will greet friends after the service Friday at the BCHS Auditorium.
