Cochran – Michael R. Smith, age 64, died Monday, July 9, 2018, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery.

Michael, born in Macon, had lived in Cochran since 1996. He was the son of the late Bobby R. Smith and the husband of the late Kathy Mullis Smith. He was retired form Robins Air Force Base, served in the Air National Guard and was a 1972 graduate of Southwest High School in Macon.

Survivors are his daughter, B.J. Smith of Cochran; his sons, Jared Smith and David Smith of Cochran and Michael R. Smith, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; his mother, Mary L. Smith of Cochran; his brother, Ed (Glenda) Smith of Macon; his grandchildren, Austin Smith and Emily Beasley.

The family is at 117 Smith Road and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Mathis Funeral Home.
