Cochran – Mildred S. Belflower, age 90, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Tim Lamb officiating. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Mildred was born in Bleckley County. She was the daughter of the late Edward E. and Pearl Horne Sapp and was preceded in death by her first husband, Kennon K. Elliott, her second husband, Benjamin F. Walker and her third husband, Larry D. "Buddy" Belflower. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Alvin "Buddy" Sapp, Raymond W. Sapp, Elizabeth Robinson and Cherry Sapp. She was retired from Keebler Co, where she worked for 35 years as a line supervisor.  She had lived in Macon and Crawford County before moving back to Cochran 28 years ago. Mrs. Mildred loved gardening and had a real green thumb. She also enjoyed reading her bible, listening to gospel music and watching Gunsmoke. She also enjoyed watching her little dog "hunt" lizards. She was a member of Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors are her son, Kenny (Penny) Elliott of Cochran; her grandchildren, Misty (Steven) Lamb, Kennon (Megan) Elliott, Sarah (Troy) Yearty, Lauren Elliott and Kyle Newman; 10 great grandchildren; her siblings, John B. Sapp, Harold D. Sapp, Gladys Lewis and Bobby J. Sapp; and several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 1290 GA Hwy 126 and will greet friends from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Saturday at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church.
