Cochran – Milton J. "Bubba" Mullis, age 70, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from injuries received in a work accident. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Bubba, born in Dodge County, had lived most of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late Milton J. "Bill" and Dolly Virginia Holland Mullis and was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Stanley May. He had worked at Cochran Oil Mill for 37 years and was a former employee for the City of Cochran. Bubba loved his family, fishing, gardening, tinkering and was a great mechanic.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Judy Evans Mullis of Cochran; his children, Wendy (Bryan) Krieg, Jessica (Matt) Fordham and Christopher Lee Mullis all of Cochran; grandchildren, Brooke Krieg, Jordyn Krieg, Brandon Mullis, Sophie Lucas, Preston Lucas, Benji Fordham and Carson Fordham; his brothers, Mitchell Mullis of Lakeland, FL, C.J. Mullis of Cochran, Tony Mullis and Bobby Lee Mullis of Hawkinsville and Willie (Phyllis) Mullis of Opelika, AL; his sisters, Susan May and Alanna Mullis of Eastman, Patsy Joyce (Pejman) Yazdi of Summerville, SC and Mary (Junior) Busbee of Warner Robins; several nieces and nephews including special nephew, Issac Evans.
The family is at 178 Duskin Drive, Cochran and will greet friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
