Cochran – Nina Kirkpatrick Carlton, age 70, died Friday, September 14, 2018 in Valentine, Nebraska, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private

Mrs. Carlton, born in Roddy, had lived in Tifton before moving to Cochran 15 years ago. She was the daughter of the late B.J. and Dora Luella Fountain Kirkpatrick and the wife of the late Larry Wayne Carlton. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wayne Kirkpatrick and Rink Kirkpatrick. Nina was a caregiver and loved to travel. She was a member of the American Legion Motorcycle Riders and attended Roddy Baptist Church.

Survivors are her children, Tracey (Jack Tripp) Graham of Midway, Dorothy (Gene) Roberts and Patti (Mark) Dean of Tifton; grandchildren, Kalon (Sunny) Graham of Valdosta, Kenzie Graham of Roddy, John Morgan (Kelci) Dean, Kate-Ellen Dean and Hayden Roberts of Tifton; great grandchildren, Kylee, Ayden, Alyson, Daniel and Olivia; sisters, Winifred (Ronnie) Floyd and Dianne (Phillip) Dykes of Cochran; JoAnne (Leon) Swain of Hawkinsville, Rachel (Karl) Hilliard, Linda Dominy and Gail Bryan of Eastman; brothers, Gene (Jackie) Kirkpatrick and Larry Kirkpatrick of Cochran; sister-in-law, Evelyn Kirkpatrick of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 416 GA Highway 126 E and will greet friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
