Cochran – O. Wyndell Benson, age 90, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023, in Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023, at 2:00 P.M., in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Mr. Wyndell was born in Cochran on April 12, 1932. He was the son of the late John and Mabel Wynne Benson. He graduated from Cochran High School and served in the United States Navy. He was the owner-operator of a retail business in Cochran, and he also farmed.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mrs. Faye Benson; his children, Dennis Benson and Bruce (Mary Lynn) Benson; his grandson, Chase Benson and his sister, Janis B. Smith.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Mathis Funeral Home.
