Perry – Oliver Newton Beck, age 89, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, at Summerhill Senior Living Community, in Perry. Graveside funeral services will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Oliver was born on November 6, 1934, in Bleckley County. He was the son of the late Jasper Newton "J.N." and Rosa Mae Powell Beck and was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Carol Adkins Beck, his son, Terry Beck and his sister, Grace Beck Brown. Mr. Oliver was born and raised in the Salem Community. On December 1, 1951, He married the love of his life, Ms. Carol Adkins. Mr. Oliver worked for the Kellwood Company in Perry for over 30 years. After his retirement he worked as a consultant for textile companies all over the southeast. Mr. Oliver loved his family, especially Mrs. Carol and his grandchildren.

Survivors are his son, David (Lisa) Beck of Perry; his grandchildren, Brandi Beck Talton, Jason Beck, Justin Beck, Jennifer Beck Stacey, Brian Beck, Chris Cassady and Chanell West; 8 great-grandchildren including Livi Talton; his brother, Jimmy Beck of Cochran; his sister, Mrs. Merlene Beck Parker of Dudley; several nieces and nephews.
