Macon – Ollie F. "Butch" Crumpler, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in Brightmoor Hospice in Macon. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour before the service on Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
Butch, born in Macon, had lived most of his life in Cochran before relocating to Macon a few years ago. He was the son of the late Ollie Furman "Pete", Jr. and Marjorie "Margie" Colvin Crumpler. He was a 1971 graduate of Cochran High School, a licensed auctioneer and a retiree of Robins Air Force Base. Butch loved hunting, fishing and wood working. He was a member of Limestone Baptist Church and was attending Ingleside Baptist Church in Macon.
Survivors are his wife, Laura Bloodworth Crumpler of Macon; his children, April Crumpler of Bonaire, Christy C. (Michael) McUmber of Cochran, and Tiffany C. O'Brien of Macon; his grandchildren, Austin (Ashley) Phelps, Michael (Emilee) McUmber, Anthony McUmber, Jackson McUmber, Asa O'Brien, Samuel O'Brien, and Madison O'Brien; great grandchildren, Maia and Ruthie Mae; his brother, Richard C. "Rick" (Linda) Crumpler of Pawleys Island, SC; his sisters, Peggy Daniels of Danville, Charlotte (Tim) Peche of Cochran, and Lynn Crumpler of Cochran; and several nieces and nephews.
The family is at 1731 GA Highway 26 East, Cochran.
