Cochran - Patricia "Pat" Christine Strang, age 77, died Monday, July 25, 2022, at her residence. There will be no funeral service. The body will be cremated and sent to Florida National Cemetery to be interred with her husband. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. No flowers, please.

Mrs. Pat, born Sept. 13, 1944, in Portsmouth, NH, had lived in Cochran, GA since 2009.  She was the daughter of (Lillian) Frances Murphy of Portland, ME and Chester Loveless of Perry, OK. and the wife of the late James D. Strang, who died in 1999. Her father, Chester Loveless died on board the submarine USS Tang in October 1944 when Pat was 6 weeks old. Later, when her mother married Mr. Wallis, he adopted Pat. On Oct. 12, 1963, Pat married James D. Strang, and they had one daughter, Jamie, after 20 years of marriage.

Ms. Strang worked over 20 years for Civil Service in many places as they moved around due to Mr. Strang's 20-year service in the US Navy. Finally settling in Orlando, FL Mrs. Strang worked for Valencia Community College and the Orange County School System in Orlando, FL. In 2008, Mrs. Strang bought a home in Cochran, GA and moved there at the beginning of 2009. Her daughter and granddaughter followed her in July of 2009, after Mrs. Strang had a heart attack, taking care of her until her death.

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie L. Strang (Carlos Guzman), her granddaughter, Emma C. Strang and her grandson, Daniel Guzman; Three brothers also survive her; Bob (wife Linda) Wallis of Lake Helen, FL, Frank (wife Jackie) Wallis of The Villages, FL and Ned Wallis of New London, CT along with numerous nieces and nephews on both her side and her husband's.
