Cochran – Patsy Cook Yearty, age 68, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025, in Heart of Georgia Nursing Home in Eastman. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Patsy, raised in Roddy, had lived most of her life in Cochran. She was the daughter of the late D.W. and Minnie Fordham Cook and was preceded in death by her brother, Dwight W. Cook. Patsy was retired, after 30 years of service, from Bleckley County Schools and had worked at Carolyn's Daycare. She was a 1975 graduate of Dodge County High School and a member of the Cochran Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors are her husband, Steve Yearty of Cochran; her children, Mellie (Jeffery) Anderson and Katie Yearty of Cochran; her grandson, Walker Waters of Cochran; her sister, Janice (Larry) Rozier of Cochran; her brother, Don (Lisa) Cook of Roddy; several nieces and nephews.
