Cochran – Peggy Moore Darsey, age 85, died Tuesday, February 23, 2021, in Bryant Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Private burial will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.

Mrs. Peggy, born in Venus, TX, had lived in Cochran since 1979. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Farris and Thelma Elize Glover Moore and was preceded in death by her husband, William Doyle Darsey. She was retired from Middle Georgia College where she worked in bookkeeping. She was a member of Mt. Calvery Baptist Church and was a member of the Sunshine Club.

Survivors are her children, sons, Donald (Gale) Darsey and Steven (Windy) Darsey, both of Cochran; daughter, Joyce (Jimmy) Owens of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jess (Teresa) Darsey, Jared (Kayla) Darsey, Stevie Darsey, Tucker Darsey, all from Cochran and Sunny (Matthew) Fitzgibbons of Macon; great-grandchildren, Carter Darsey, Caleb Darsey, C.J. Darsey, Lillie Kay Darsey, Cooper Knolen Darsey, Kinslee Coleman and Fisher Fitzgibbons; sister Nancy (Jim) Golden of Grandbury, TX; sister-in-law, Arlene Moore of Denver, CO and brother-in-law Louie (Janice) Darsey of Centerville.
