Cochran – Peggy Elizabeth Mullis, ag 86, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024, in Pinewood Manor Nursing Home in Hawkinsville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Peggy was the daughter of the late Robert Eckert and Thelma Chambers Howard. She was the first parking meter reader for the Cochran Police Department, former employee of L&H Shirt Factory and McConnell 5&10.

Survivors are her husband, Leo Mullis of Cochran; her children, Ronnie (Marie) Mullis of Cochran and Debra Ford of Laurens County; grandchildren, Mark, Jessie, Stephanie, Jordan and Skye; five great grandchildren.

The family is at 134 Tenth St., Cochran and will greet friends after the service Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
