Cochran – Philip Berryhill, age 58, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home.

Philip was born on August 18, 1966, in Warner Robins. He was the son of the late Calvin and Katie White Berryhill. Philip grew up in Cochran. He was a graduate of Bleckley County High School, Class of 1984. He ran cross country in high school and was named the Most Valuable Player during his senior year. After high school, he worked with his father and brother at their family business, Calvin's Cleaners. In 1990, Philip decided to go back to school and further his education. He attended and graduated from Middle Georgia College in 1990. After graduation, Philip attended Georgia Southern University and graduated in 1992 with a degree in sports management. During his senior year at Southern, Philip served as an intern with the Macon Braves. Since 2000, Philip worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler.

Survivors are his brother, Greg Berryhill of Cochran and several cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Philip's honor.

The family will greet friends after the service on Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
