Phyllis was born on October 21, 1944, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late Dovard Lester Lord Sr. and Zaidee Wilburteen Snow Lord. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dovard Lester Lord Jr. and Jeffrey Thomas Lord. On March 28, 1964, she married James "Jim" Fisk in Phenix City, Alabama. Their union spanned an incredible 62 years of love and partnership.

Phyllis dedicated 20 years to Civil Service before retiring in 2000. During her career at Fort Benning, she met Jim, and together they embarked on a life filled with adventure and travel as an Army family. Their journeys took them across the globe, including extensive travels through Europe during Jim's stationing there and even a visit to the Great Wall of China. After retirement, Phyllis and Jim continued their love for exploration by RVing throughout the United States.

A compassionate soul with a deep love for animals, Phyllis had a special passion for rescuing special needs dogs and cherished her beloved Yorkshire Terriers.

She is survived by her devoted husband, James "Jim" Fisk of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her sisters Beky Lord of Cleveland, Georgia, and Melanie Sin (Robert) of Tracy, California; her three godchildren Mark White, Stephen White, and Babette White; her Aunt Jackie Hilton of Dudley, Georgia as well as several special cousins.

Phyllis's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her legacy of kindness and adventure bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
