Randy P. Rowland, age 74, of Chester, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026, in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Burial will be in Rowland Memorial Cemetery.

A lifelong resident of Chester, Randy was born on February 27, 1952. He was the son of the late Junior Ruben Rowland and Evelyn Mullis Rowland and was also preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Gail Rowland and son-in-law, Chris Harris.

Randy graduated from Dodge County High School with the Class of 1971. He later built a career with the Georgia Department of Corrections, where he worked as a maintenance advisor at Dodge State Prison until his retirement. His years of service reflected a steady commitment to his work and to the responsibilities he carried throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne C. Rowland of Chester; his children, Tonya Harris of Cochran and Heath (Ambra) Rowland of Chester; his grandchildren, Harley Sheffield, Cale Rowland, Slade Harris, Callie Rowland, and Gage Harris; his great-grandchild, Julian Bloodworth; and his siblings, Jerl (Rhonda) Rowland, Larry (Joanne) Rowland, Joy (Royce) Warren, all of Chester, and Becky (David) Sheffield of Eastman. He is also remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Randy P. Rowland will be remembered with love by those who knew him and by all who shared in his life.
