Cochran – Ray Spires, age 59, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 10:00 A.M. at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Cochran.

Ray was born in Telfair County on February 13, 1962. He grew up in Eastman and spent all of his adult life in Cochran. He worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation for the traffic operations department.

Survivors are his wife, Trendie Spires of Cochran; his children, Ian James Spires, Joseph Landon Spires and Tracy Annaleise Spires all of Cochran; grandson Kayden Rae Spires; his father, Charles Jack Spires of Eastman; his mother, Annelle Spires of Eastman; three brothers, Tracy (Wanda) Spires, Tommy (Amanda) Spires and Bobby (Heather) Spires all of Eastman; several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
