McRae - Raymond E. Lister, Sr., age 84, passed away at his home, Monday, September 16, 2019. Memorial services will be held Friday, September 20, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Bowers Cemetery.

Mr. Lister, born in Roddy, had lived most of life in the Roddy and Cochran communities. He was preceded in death by his parents Monteen Cook Lister and David D. Lister as well as his son Rhett M. Lister. He was the eldest grandchild of James Marcellus and Lizzy Cook. Mr. Raymond was in the construction contracting business and was a member of Milan Baptist Church.

He is survived by the mother of his children Susie Jones Lister of Roddy; sons, Ray Lister Jr. of Cochran, Reid J. Lister of Fairmount and Ryan T. Lister of Colorado; his daughter, Susan Lister Moeller (Fred) of Milton; his only sister, Sonja Lister Curtis (Alan) of Cochran; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; three nieces and their families.
