Cary – Richard Alan "Rad" Dykes, Jr., age 47, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from injuries received in an accident. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Cary. The family will greet friends after the service at the church. Burial will be private in the church cemetery.

Rad, a lifelong resident of Cary, was the son of the late Richard Alan "Ricky" Dykes, Sr. He was a 1997 graduate of Bleckley County High School. Rad worked for Nationwide Construction, was former owner of RAD Contracting, and had worked, starting at 10 years old, for Everett Dykes Grassing Company. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Heather B. Dykes of Cary; his children, Lila Dykes, Coleman Dykes, Taylor (Zach) Henderson and Gavin Faulk all of Cochran; his mother, Cay NeSmith Dykes of Cochran; his sister, Libby (Will) DeLoach of Cochran; his grandmother, Ruth Barlow NeSmith of Cochran; his nephews, William (Peyton) DeLoach and Ben (Katie) DeLoach all of Cochran and many beloved extended family members.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Rad's memory to Bleckley County High School Theater Arts, One Royal Dr., Cochran, GA 31014 or Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 134 Abney Road, Cochran, GA 31014.
