Cochran – Robert A. "Bob" Watson, age 85, died Tuesday, June 8, 2021, in Serenity Place Hospice in Dublin. Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home.

Mr. Bob, born in Deadwood, SD, grew up in Santa Claire, CA, then moved to Marietta, GA before coming to Cochran. He was the son of the late Adrain Henry and Mildred Christina Harris Watson. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, was a former wildlife manager at Ocmulgee Wildlife Management Area and had worked at Cook Banking Company in Cochran for 13 years. Mr. Bob loved hunting, was an avid duck hunter, was a master duck box maker and raised wild ducks. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cochran.

Survivors are his wife, Lunelle Horne Watson of Cochran; his children, Lori Watson Smith of Macon, Lita Watson Gatlin of Charlotte, NC and Luke (Jennifer) Watson of Matthews, NC; his grandchildren, Ryan (Cammie) Smith, Tanner (Ashley) Smith, Lawson Gatlin, Amanda Watson and Noah Watson; great grandchildren, Avery Kate Smith, Campbell Smith and Mattie Smith.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Serenity Foundation, 1022 Hillcrest Parkway, Suite 200, Dublin, GA 31021 or to Promise of Hope Men's Damascus Road, 106 NeSmith Road, Cochran, GA 31014

A visitation will be held Friday, June 11, 2021, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the Watson Residence, 340 Country Club Road, Cochran.
