Cochran – Robert William "Bobby" Porter, age 74, died Tuesday, December 31, 2019, in Navicent Health in Macon. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 2, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in the Cochran First Baptist Church. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Bobby, a lifelong resident of Cochran, was the son of the late Emory W., Sr. and Neail Perry Porter. He was preceded in death by his brother Emory W. Porter, Jr. and his nephew Tom Porter. He was a 1963 graduate of Cochran High School, a 1965 graduate of Middle Georgia College and attended Georgia Southern College. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base, a charter member of Uchee Trail Country Club and a member of the Cochran First Baptist Church. Bobby was an avid golfer and adored his grandchildren, Will and Karli.

Survivors are his wife, Patricia "Cookie" Floyd Porter of Cochran; his son, Michael (Keely) Porter of Macon; his grandchildren, Will and Karli; his brother, Tommy (Judy) Porter of Cochran; his sister-in-law, Linda Peacock Porter of Cochran; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gwen and Joe Cox of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Gideons International, PO Box 95, Cochran, GA 31014.

The family is at 101 Melvin Drive, Cochran and will greet friends after the service Thursday at Cochran First Baptist Church.
