Jeff loved the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting and just being in the nature God created. He loved his children and instilled a love of the outdoors in both of them. Jeff was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Bryant Cranford, his second wife, Glinda Cranford, his father, Robert Jefferson "Frog" Cranford, Sr. and his stepfather, Jack Parrish.

Jeff lived most of his life in Cochran. He was a 1976 graduate of Cochran High School and maintained friendships with his classmates his whole life.

Jeff was an active member and deacon at Gresston Baptist Church. He enjoyed serving his church in any manner. He was a devoted father to his children and Pa Jeff to his grandchildren. He loved taking his grandchildren hunting and fishing. He was very proud of his oldest grandson's decision to serve his country in the United States Navy and was equally proud of his youngest grandson's decision to become a pilot.

Left to carry on Jeff's Legacy are his children, Maria (Blake) Simpson of Eastman and Paul Cranford of Chester. His grandchildren, JW & AJ Simpson of Eastman. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Parrish of Cochran, sister, Lynn (Terry) Lassiter of Cochran and Debra (Bobby) Yeomans of Roddy. He also leaves three nephews, Jeremy (Kaitlin) Cox, Jeffrey (Mandy) Cox and Luke (Bethany) Cox of Reidsville and a niece, Kelly (Trey) Regan of Roddy. Several great nieces, great nephews and his special friend Melindy Hartley. He taught his youngest nephew, Luke, to love hunting and fishing as much as he did.

The family may be contacted at the home of Blake & Maria Simpson, 215 Jessica Lane in Eastman and at the home of Melindy Hartley, 136 Rose St in Cochran.
