Cochran – Roger P. Smith, age 72, died Tuesday, April 9, 2019, in Bryant Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Roger, born in Hawkinsville, had lived all of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late Forehand and Gladys Thompson Smith. Roger was a member of Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors are his brothers, Larry (Sheila) Smith and Ricky (Sharon) Smith of Cochran; nieces and nephews, Tommy (Felicia) Smith and Lori (Kip) McGuire of Cochran and Angie (Eric) Nicometo of Wetumpka, AL; several great nieces and nephews.

The family is at 191 Purser-Braddy Road and will greet friends one hour before the service Friday at Mathis Funeral Home.
