Roger
Williams
Apr 24, 1959 — Mar 27, 2026
Roger Williams, age 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026, at his residence in Cochran, surrounded by his loving family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. at House of Grace in Cochran.
Born in Moultrie, Georgia, Roger was the son of Mrs. Geraldine Williams and the late Mr. Marvin Williams. He graduated from Colquitt County High School as part of the Class of 1977 and was a proud member of the high school choir during his time there. Roger's professional life was marked by dedication and versatility; he worked as a district manager for Arby's before transitioning to roles as a produce manager at Walmart and later as a supply chain team member at Houston Medical Center/ Emory Healthcare until his well-earned retirement.
Roger had a deep passion for southern gospel music and enjoyed playing the guitar, bass and piano. A devoted fan of both the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves, he found joy in cheering on his favorite teams. In retirement, Roger discovered a love for building projects that brought him great satisfaction. His faith was central to his life—he attended House of Grace in Cochran where he played an active role in their Men's Ministry, was a member of the praise team and even coached their softball team.
Above all else, Roger cherished his family deeply. He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Williams of Cochran; his daughters Jessie Williams Mullis of Cochran and Julie (Randy "Bubba") Sapp of Dublin; and six treasured grandchildren: Gabbi Ragan, Bane Mullis, Ashlyn Sapp, Brody Sapp, Stella Sapp, and Liva Sapp. He is also survived by his mother Mrs. Geraldine Williams of Moultrie; his sister Jerrie (Tony) Harris of McDonough; his mother- and father-in-law Larry and Virginia Williams of Cochran; his brother-in-law Joey (Laura) Williams of Cochran; along with nieces Jilian, RileyAnn, Hope, Jolie, Hosanna and nephew Shane.
The family will receive friends following the service on Friday at House of Grace in Cochran. They are gathering at their home located at 437 Berryhill Coody Rd., Cochran.
Roger's memory will live on through the lives he touched with his kindness and devotion to those around him. May those who knew him find comfort in celebrating the legacy he leaves behind
