Cochran- Ronald Milton Long, age 69, died on Friday, April 8, 2022, at Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville, Georgia. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the home of Billy and Kathy Williams at 527 Daisy Adams Road, Cochran, Georgia 31014.

Ron was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia the son of the late Joyce Johnny Long and Edith Elizabeth Sanders Long. He spent most of his life in and around the Central Georgia area and touched the lives of so many with his sense of humor and funny stories, whether made up on the fly or his real-life experiences. He had a knack for putting a smile on people's faces. Ron's love for God and spreading God's Word was also a passion of his in life. When he passed, he was pastoring a small church in Kite, Georgia called Wilkerson Chapel.

Survivors include his two children, Jay Long and Daniel Long; three grandchildren; Caleb Long, Oliver Long, and Lily Long; his sister, Kathy (Long) Williams, and brothers, Bruce Long, Mike Long, Robert "Hoss" Long, and Forest Long; and several aunts, an uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews, church family members, and close friends.
