Cochran – Ronnie T. Dykes, age 76, passed away Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Bryant Nursing Center in Cochran. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Ronnie had lived most of his life in Bleckley County. He was the son of the late Dudley Tennyson and Rubye Perry Dykes and was preceded in death by his son Shannon T. Dykes. He was a construction welder and a 1965 graduate of Cochran High School. Ronnie loved hawg hunting and was a well known breeder of pit bulldogs. He was a member of Christian Friends Church in Hawkinsville.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara A. Dykes of Cochran; his children, Laura (Johnathon) Crumley of Tampa, FL; Shannon (Troy) Davis of Cochran and Jason (Ashlie) Webster of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Ava Crumley, Taylor Byram, Tanner (Katie) Byram, Halie (Kace) Jarrell, Kristen Barlow, Cameron Webster and Savanna Scissons; seven great grandchildren.

The family is at 1721 GA Highway 26 East, Cochran and will greet friends after the service Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
