Cochran – Roy N. Mullis, age 80, died Friday, February 7, 2020, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 10, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Roy was a lifelong resident of Bleckley County. He was the son of the late Eli T. "Bill" and Montine Newman Mullis and was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Mullis and Ronald Mullis. Roy was retired from Robins Air Force Base, a 1957 graduate of Cochran High School, graduate of Middle Georgia College and a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed deer hunting, yard work, college football and the Atlanta Braves. Roy played the fiddle and enjoyed Bluegrass music. Roy was a simple man and adored his family.

Survivors are his wife of over 59 years, Judy W. Mullis of Cochran; his children, Tommy (Laurie) Mullis and Terri (Darryl) Albritton of Perry and Todd (Kelli) Mullis of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Thomas Mullis, Dana (Knox) Hilliard, Hillary (Jimi) Bell, Carson Albritton, Olivia (Coby) Horton, Eli Mullis and Bailey Mullis; great grandchildren, Renea Rigdon, Rebeckah Rigdon and Jake Hilliard; his brother, Johnny (Toni) Mullis of Cochran; his sister, Grace (Jordan) Smith of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 192 Rene Drive, Cochran and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
